I have bow hunted with
Davis and David for the past 2 years in Southern Illinois,
and must say it has been an unbelievable experience.
I have had close encounters with numerous 140 + bucks,
and passed on a few really good deer. Although we have
been on semi-guided hunts, these guys have gone above
and beyond to help us with scouting and stand placement.
These guys do an excellent job with land management,
and the lodging is first class. This place is definitely
a bow hunters paradise.

People talk about dream seasons I guess this past one was mine, and it was partially attributed to persistance, prime hunting grounds, stand placement, some nice guys and a little bit of luck
This
was my first experience using an outfitting service
and to be honest I had mixed feelings about booking
a hunt, but after meeting with these guys and learning
about the way they run their operation I was willing
to give them a try. Being from around Louisiana and
accustomed to walking two miles back in the thickets
swamp around, I have to admit that the miles of open
fields and wood lines that you can see through was
definitely different. Don't let that discourage you
because the deer are there.
What sold me on hunting with these guys is that besides them being avid hunters themselves, and having multiple tracts of land available, they offer a semi-guided hunt. Besides some very nice accomodations they will show you the different tracts, maps, arial photos and give some advise about the deer movement. This is my type of hunting.
I've told others that there are very few people that I trust putting me out on a stand and truth be known probably only one and that's my brother. Even though we arge about which way to face the stand we were raised in the woods together.
In my opinion scouting, setting up the stand, trimming the right limbs, anticipating the wind direction and stand placement, I like to get high, is the fun part of the hunt. Knocking down that big boy is just the icing on the cake. David and Davis provide prime property and the opportunity to do just that.
If you want someone to pack you to your stand, glass the surrondings and say OK that's a shooter time to wake up. Then these guys are not for you.
I compare their services to a prime hunting lease and you do the rest. For those of you that like fair chase, have a sense of pride in setting yourself up and like increasing the odds of killing a trophy by hunting where the big boys are then I highly recommend these guys.
Of course taking a 161 inch Pope & Young and 173 inch plus with a muzzleloader in one season is what I would call my Dream Season.
Thanks Guys,
